A extended cruise through the Land Down Under was terminated in the wake of the tragic passing of an senior woman who was left behind by the ship on a distant tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been trekking on Lizard Island with shipmates from the cruise ship, but broke off from the group for a break. The vessel departed without her and went back several hours later after the ship staff became aware the lady was missing.

An extensive hunt found her person the following day.

The CEO of the cruise operator stated that passengers and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were told that the continuation of the cruise had been terminated due to the "unfortunate death and prior mechanical issues".
